Electrical Component Operative
Location: Hull
Pay: £12.95 per hour
Contract type: Temp to Perm
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
About the role
We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Component Operative to join a busy and growing operation in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in electrical assembly, soldering or a similar manufacturing environment who is looking for a stable, long-term position with the opportunity to become permanent.
The role involves assembling electrical components, carrying out soldering work and ensuring products are completed accurately and to the required quality standards.
You will work as part of a supportive team in a clean and organised working environment, with training and development opportunities available.
Key responsibilities
Carry out soldering and electrical component assembly
Assemble, wire and connect electrical components accurately
Follow production instructions, drawings and specifications
Use hand tools and production equipment safely
Inspect completed components to ensure quality and accuracy
Identify and report any faults or defects
Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship
Follow all health and safety procedures
Keep the working area clean, tidy and organised
Work efficiently to meet production requirements
Skills and experience required
Previous experience in electrical assembly, component assembly or manufacturing
Previous soldering experience is essential
Good attention to detail and manual dexterity
Ability to follow technical instructions and specifications
Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual and committed to producing high-quality work
Desirable:
Experience working with electrical or electronic components
Experience reading basic electrical drawings or wiring diagrams
Relevant electrical, electronic or engineering qualifications
Working hours
Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
Usually an early finish on Fridays at around 3:00pm, although this is not contractual
Pay and benefits
£12.95 per hour
Equivalent annual salary: £26,943.93
