We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to support multiple residential developments across Swindon and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business where safety is genuinely valued and embedded within the company culture.
The Role
Reporting into the Health & Safety Manager, you will provide practical health and safety support across a number of live construction sites, ensuring compliance with legislation, company procedures, and best practice standards.
You will work closely with site management teams, helping to drive a positive safety culture while supporting operational teams in achieving high standards of health, safety, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety reviews across multiple residential developments
Provide competent health and safety advice to site teams and management
Support and coach operational staff on health and safety best practices
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, identifying root causes and preventative actions
Monitor compliance with company policies and relevant legislation
Produce detailed inspection and audit reports
Assist with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
Deliver toolbox talks and support ongoing health and safety training initiatives
Promote a positive and proactive approach to health and safety across all projects
About You
We're looking for a confident and engaging health and safety professional who enjoys building relationships on site and influencing positive behaviours.
Requirements
Previous experience within a construction Health & Safety role
Residential construction experience strongly preferred
NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum
Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work independently across multiple sites
Desirable
NEBOSH Construction Certificate
Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH or above)
Experience working for a housebuilder, residential developer, or principal contractor

Salary of £45,000 - £50,000
