A well-established engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Geotechnical Engineer to join their Manchester team. The role would suit an experienced Graduate or Geotechnical Engineer looking to develop their career across a varied range of ground engineering projects.
The Role:
Undertake geotechnical assessments and interpret ground investigation data.
Produce factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
Carry out slope stability, bearing capacity and settlement assessments.
Assist with foundation, retaining wall and earthworks design.
Review ground investigation information and develop ground models.
Support site investigations and liaise with contractors and clients.
Work alongside engineers across wider civil and infrastructure projects.The Candidate:
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject.
Previous experience within a geotechnical consultancy or ground engineering environment.
Good understanding of geotechnical principles and UK ground conditions.
Experience with geotechnical calculations and design software would be beneficial.
Strong report-writing and communication skills.
Working towards or interested in achieving Chartered status.What's on Offer:
