Noble Recruiting are looking for an experienced Export Operator - Sea Freight / Hybrid Role to join an established and renowned Freight & Logistics global provider based in Tilbury, Essex.

Salary: £36,000 - £44,000 per annum DOE
Working hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday

As our Client continues to expand, they are looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Export Sea Freight Operator to join their busy operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing export sea freight shipments from booking through to final destination, ensuring a seamless service for customers while maintaining excellent communication with shipping lines, hauliers and overseas partners.
Responsibilities/Duties:

Book export sea freight shipments online and via email with shipping lines.

Contact shipping lines to check haulage availability, equipment availability, vessel space and cargo load windows.

Liaise with hauliers to confirm transport availability and genset availability where required.

Book collections with hauliers using merchant haulage instructions.

Prepare and send booking confirmations to customers, ensuring that all shipment details are accurate and clearly communicated.

Submit shipping instructions accurately and within required deadlines.

Obtain customs documentation required to enter customs clearance and submit the UCR number withing the required deadline.

Submit Verified Gross Mass (VGM) requests within the required shipping line deadline.

Check Bills of Lading for accuracy and obtain customer approval prior to being issued.

Assist with the preparation and checking of export documentation including Bills of Lading, Health Certificates, Certificates of Origin and other shipping documentation as required.

Verify supplier invoices and investigate or resolve any invoice discrepancies.
Experience/Skills we are looking for:
-
Previous experience in export sea freight operations.

Own transport is required due to the location of the Company.

Previous experience in handling reefer (temperature controlled) shipments would be preferred (but not essential)

Excellent customer service skills with a customer -first approach.

Knowledge of export regulations and compliance requirements.

Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
