We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a leading regional contractor delivering a programme of works across South and West Yorkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Agent with a strong background in the water/utilities sector looking for ongoing freelance work, with the potential for a long-term pipeline of projects.
The Role
As Site Agent, you’ll be responsible for the successful day-to-day delivery of works on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:

Managing day-to-day site operations and supervising site teams and subcontractors

Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with RAMS and company procedures

Monitoring programme, progress and productivity

Coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
-
Maintaining high standards of quality and environmental compliance
-
Liaising with the Project Manager, client and wider project team

Completing site documentation, inspections and reporting
-
Identifying and resolving issues proactively to keep works on programme
About You
We’re looking for a confident and experienced Site Agent with:

Previous experience working within the water/utilities sector

A proven track record delivering civil engineering or water-related projects
-
Strong site management and subcontractor coordination skills

Excellent understanding of health & safety and quality requirements

Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and RAMS
-
Strong communication and organisational skills
-
Relevant site management qualifications/tickets, ideally including SMSTS
-
A valid CSCS card
