Multi Skilled Engineer
Location: Rhyl
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off - (06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00)
Salary: £57,000 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Engineer with a strong Electrical bias to join a well established manufacturing business.
This role would suit an experienced engineer who enjoys hands on fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement within a busy manufacturing environment.
The Role:
Working as part of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns and supporting the ongoing improvement of site reliability.
Key responsibilities will include:
Carrying out planned preventative and predictive maintenance
Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults to minimise downtime
Supporting mechanical fault finding and repairs
Completing breakdown repairs and root cause analysis
Supporting the installation, commissioning and modification of equipment
Maintaining critical spares and engineering records
Supporting continuous improvement and energy reduction initiatives
Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures
The candidate:
We're looking for a qualified or time served Engineer with strong fault-finding experience within a manufacturing environment.
You should have:
Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience
Electrical Engineering qualification or time-served experience
Mechanical or multi-skilled engineering experience would be advantageous
Experience using CMMS systems
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience within FMCG or high-volume manufacturing would be desirable
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A strong commitment to health and safety
