Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join a well-established food supplier to the health and social care sectors, based in Trowbridge. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional to provide proactive HR advice and support managers across the business, with a strong focus on employee relations, employment legislation and best practice.

Essential:
Previous experience working in an HR Advisor role
Significant experience managing employee relations casework
Strong experience advising managers on absence management, disciplinary, grievance and performance matters
Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation
CIPD qualified, either part or fully qualified
Experience using HR databases and case management systems
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Excellent communication, listening, questioning and influencing skills
Ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and tact
Strong stakeholder management skills
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
Full UK driving licence with access to your own transport
Desirable:
Experience coaching and supporting managers
Experience developing HR processes, policies and procedures
Experience supporting restructuring and redundancy situations
Experience working within a multi-site environment
Understanding of TUPE legislation and experience supporting TUPE transfers
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide advice and support to managers and employees across a wide range of employee relations matters.
Advise on performance management, sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance processes.
Provide timely advice in line with current employment legislation, company policies and best practice.
Manage and progress employee relations casework through to successful outcomes.
Work closely with managers to ensure HR policies and procedures are followed fairly and consistently.
Coach managers to develop their confidence and capability in handling people matters.
Support HR projects including TUPE transfers, redundancy consultation and organisational change.
Contribute to and deliver training on key HR policies and processes.
Attend meetings relating to employee relations matters, including hearings, investigations, grievances and appeals.
Produce and maintain accurate HR reports and people data, including headcount, turnover, absence, disciplinary and grievance statistics.
Run reports using the HR system to provide key people information to HR Managers and the wider business.
Support the review and continuous improvement of HR policies, processes and ways of working.
Prepare contracts, offer letters and other HR correspondence.
Support recruitment, onboarding and induction processes.
Support employee benefits and related communications.
Support HR Managers with employee forums and wider people initiatives.
Assist with wider HR projects as required.
As an HR Advisor, you will also be expected to:
Be proactive, adaptable and confident when dealing with challenging situations.
Build strong relationships with managers and employees across the business.
Use sound judgement when advising on sensitive HR matters.
Balance supporting and coaching managers with the confidence to challenge where appropriate.
Manage your workload effectively and prioritise competing priorities.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
Work collaboratively as part of a wider HR team while taking ownership of your responsibilities.
