Consolidation & Shipping Operative
We are currently recruiting for a Consolidation & Shipping Operative to join a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment in Bedford.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous warehouse, goods-in, consolidation or shipping experience who is looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday position with the opportunity to become permanent.
The Role
Working within the Consolidation & Shipping department, your responsibilities will include:

Consolidating products and materials ready for dispatch

Preparing orders for shipping

Picking, checking and organising goods
-
Ensuring products are correctly labelled and packaged
-
Loading and unloading goods as required
-
Moving stock and materials around the warehouse

Carrying out regular manual handling duties

Working closely with the warehouse and production teams
-
Ensuring shipments are prepared accurately and on time
-
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment

Following all company health & safety procedures
About You
The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience within consolidation, shipping, goods-in, dispatch or warehousing

Good attention to detail when checking orders and shipments
-
Experience with manual handling
-
A reliable and hardworking attitude

Good organisational skills
-
The ability to work independently and as part of a team

A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
-
Previous manufacturing or cable industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential
