Active Staff are proud to be partnered with an Innovative, award winning Electronics Manufacturer in Andover who are on the lookout for a Supplier Quality Engineer. The successful candidate will support the implementation of the company's quality strategy, taking ownership of supplier quality and working closely with suppliers, Engineering, R&D and Manufacturing teams.

Friday: 08:30 – 15:30

The role of the Supplier Quality Engineer:

Managing supplier quality complaints, returns and NCRs/SCARs.

Investigating manufacturing rejects and determining whether materials/components meet specification.

Monitoring supplier performance and incoming material quality.

Conducting First Article Inspections (FAIs) and supporting new product/material introductions.

Conducting initial and ongoing supplier audits.
-
Managing supplier changes, including product changes and end-of-life situations.

Working with Engineering and R&D on product development and engineering changes.

Supporting the release of non-conforming materials following investigation and risk assessment.

Producing regular quality reports, including defect trends and Pareto analysis.

Supporting supplier development and continuous improvement activities.

Creating and maintaining incoming goods inspection templates.

Visiting suppliers when required to investigate quality issues and conduct audits
Experience of the Supplier Quality Engineer:
-
3+ years' experience in quality management within an industrial manufacturing/product development environment.

Experience working directly with suppliers and managing quality issues.
-
Knowledge of ISO 9001, with ISO 13485 and/or AS 9100 highly desirable.

Experience with NCRs, SCARs, corrective actions, FAIs and supplier audits.

A practical understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.

Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
