White Label is representing an engineering and manufacturing company in Wakefield that requires a Design Engineer with experience working with stainless steel and sheet metal products within a machinery and manufacturing environment to join their team.

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

Working Hours: 40 hours per week with flexible start/finish times within 7:30am – 5pm

Duties of the Design Engineer
-
To carry out design functions using Inventor software
-
Production of GA drawings
-
Production of manufacturing drawings and BOMs
-
Ensure all designs comply with the required contract specifications
-
Liaise with suppliers and customers as directed for the purposes of design development and approval
-
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of designs
Experience required of the Design Engineer
-
Educated to HNC level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
-
3D CAD experience
-
Experience of working within a machinery and manufacturing environment
-
Ability to produce manufacturing drawings and layouts for sheet metal products
-
Knowledge of drawing and design standards
-
IT skills – Including Microsoft Office Word and Excel
