Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join the team.
The Role
As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC lathes and machining centres to produce high-precision components. You will work closely with the manufacturing team, ensuring all products meet exact customer specifications and stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Setting, operating and programming CNC lathes and machining centres
Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Using metrology and inspection equipment to verify component quality
Carrying out manual machining operations where required
Selecting appropriate tooling and machining methods
Ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards
Maintaining a safe and organised working environmentSkills & Experience Required
Previous experience as a CNC Turner
Experience with Fanuc controls
CAM programming experience
Ability to programme both offline and at the machine
Strong understanding of engineering drawings
Experience using inspection and metrology equipment
Manual machining experience
Ability to work to tight tolerances and demanding surface finish specifications
