£50 per hour limited paid via umbrella company inside IR35
Our client is looking for an experienced Housing Enforcement Lead
Part remote – 2 days/week work from home
To provide functional leadership in the core service areas of:
• Private Sector Housing (HHSRS, HMO licensing, Fire Safety in High Rise Dwellings, Asylum Accommodation, Public Health in Housing)
• Renters Rights (Implementation & Enforcement)
• Housing Strategy Inc Homelessness, Temporary accommodation, Supported Accommodation and Affordable Housing.
Ensuring that work processes, standards and compliance are maintained and continuously improved. To deliver a specialist, professional service with high standards of advice and support and resolving cases of varying complexity as they arise.

- Extensive working knowledge of service working practices/methodologies of Private Sector Housing & Renters Rights areas
- Working knowledge of legislation and developments in several specialist and complex areas
- Ability to constructively challenge experienced Officers to maintain transparency, consistency and quality across a wide specialist area and take a holistic view of how ways of working contribute to wider council objectives
- Exceptional knowledge of legislation and developments in several specialist and complex areas
- Using a wide range of problem-solving skills to contribute to major council programmes and advising how technical skills and knowledge in the organisation can be applied to facilitate intended outcomes
