We are looking for an experienced Housing Officer to join a busy housing association in the West Midlands. You will manage an allocated caseload of residents and provide a high-quality tenancy and neighbourhood management service.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of residential tenancies from sign-up through to termination.

Conduct tenancy visits, estate inspections and tenancy audits.

Manage rent arrears, tenancy breaches and tenancy sustainment.

Investigate and manage anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases.

Identify and appropriately escalate safeguarding and vulnerability concerns.

Support residents with tenancy-related issues, welfare benefits and signposting to appropriate services.

Work closely with local authorities, police, social services and other partner agencies.

Take appropriate enforcement and legal action where required.

Maintain accurate case records and ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales.

Deliver a professional, customer-focused service and contribute to improving local communities.
About You
You will ideally have:

Previous experience in housing, tenancy management, social housing or a related environment.

Experience managing a caseload and dealing with complex customer issues.

Knowledge of tenancy management, rent arrears and ASB.

Good understanding of safeguarding and working with vulnerable residents.

Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
-
The confidence to deal with challenging situations and difficult conversations.

Good IT and case management skills.

A relevant housing qualification (e.g. CIH) is desirable.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required
