A Slitter Operator is required for a steel processing company based in the Dudley area of the West Midlands.
It's a great opportunity to join a well-established steel company during a period of significant growth, working on a temp to perm basis. The company has multiple sites in the local area, and you will be working out of the Dudley site. You will be fully setting and operating the slitting line, slitting steel coils to size, as well as operating overhead cranes, driving counterbalance FLTs, and more.
Duties include:
Setting and operating a slitter
Operating overhead cranes to handle steel
Driving counterbalance FLTs
Loading steel coils onto the machine
Banding, packing and palletising stockYou won't need an Overhead Crane licence, but experience of setting / operating a slitting line is required.
This position is working mornings and afternoons, rotating weekly;
Working: 6:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Paying £14.00+ per hour
