We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Quality Auditor to join their fast-paced manufacturing operation. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity for the successful candidate, offering stability and the chance to develop within a high-performing quality team.
The working hours are Sunday to Thursday night 22:00 – 06:00 (40 hours per week) and the hourly pay rate is £15.40 per hour. This role is based in Shoreham-by-Sea.
The Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining high food safety and quality standards, supporting BRC accreditation, and driving continuous improvement across the site.
Key responsibilities include:

Carrying out GMP and CCP audits and ensuring accurate documentation and traceability

Monitoring food safety standards, reporting and resolving quality issues with production teams

Conducting sampling, swabbing, and testing for allergens and microbiological checks

Managing temperature controls, equipment calibration, and validation activities

Investigating non-conformances, complaints, and out-of-spec results, ensuring corrective actions are implemented

Supporting audits, product launches, and training colleagues on quality and food safety procedures

Maintaining records, systems, and documentation to ensure compliance
About You

Previous experience in a quality/technical role within manufacturing or FMCG

Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies

Confident communicator with the ability to influence and train others

Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office

Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload

Food Safety/HACCP Level 2 (desirable, training can be provided)
