Sub Agent - Reinforced Concrete Structures
Permanent | HS2 Routewide Buildings
We are recruiting for a permanent Sub Agent to join the Routewide Buildings team, delivering nine key assets across the HS2 route. These include Portal Buildings, Tunnel Shafts and Pumping Station Buildings.
The assets are technically complex reinforced concrete structures associated with major tunnel and railway infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.
The role;
As Sub Agent, you will be responsible for managing sections of the works from planning through to delivery, ensuring that construction activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing the delivery of reinforced concrete and structural packages
Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs, temporary works requirements and short-term programmes
Monitoring progress against the construction programme
Maintaining high standards of health, safety and quality
Managing technical queries and coordinating with engineering and design teams
Ensuring accurate site records, quality documentation and handover information are maintained
Supporting the wider project team with commercial, programme and operational reporting Candidate requirements
We are interested in speaking with candidates who have:
Proven experience delivering reinforced concrete, RC frame or complex structural packages
Previous experience working as a Sub Agent, Section Engineer or in a similar site-based management position
A strong understanding of construction sequencing, temporary works, quality assurance and site safety
Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary site teams
A valid SMSTS qualification
A valid Black CSCS Manager Card
Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills Experienced Site Managers from a building or main contracting background will also be considered, provided they can demonstrate suitable experience delivering reinforced concrete structures or RC frame projects
