The successful candidate will be trained to set and operate CNC milling machines, working alongside experienced engineers within a modern manufacturing environment.
The Successful Trainee CNC Machinist will benefit from:

Increase to £14.00 per hour after 6 months, subject to successful training and development

Working within an established engineering business
The Trainee CNC Machinist will be responsible for:

Learning to set and operate CNC milling machines
-
Loading and unloading components
-
Learning how to read and interpret engineering drawings
-
Carrying out basic quality checks
-
Using measuring equipment
-
Learning tooling and machine offsets
-
Working alongside experienced CNC machinists
-
Maintaining high standards of quality and safety
-
Developing machining knowledge through structured training
The ideal Trainee CNC Machinist will have:

A reliable and positive attitude

An interest in machinery and mechanical engineering

Previous engineering, manufacturing, machine operating or college-based engineering experience would be advantageous but is not essential

The ability to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
Please note: The 4 on / 4 off shift runs continuously, meaning weekend working will be required when Saturdays and Sundays fall within the candidate’s four working days.
