Hill & Hill Recruitment are seeking a Retrofit Coordinator to work with one of our Local Authority clients based in London.
Key Responsibilities:

You will play a key role in driving energy efficiency and decarbonisation programmes across the Council’s housing stock and public buildings.

You will oversee end-to-end retrofit projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, managing contractors, and providing technical assurance and advice to senior management.

The role will involve working closely with Housing, Property, Sustainability, and Asset Management teams, as well as external contractors, consultants, and residents.

Manage and coordinate whole-house retrofit projects from initial assessment through to completion and post-occupancy evaluation.

Ensure full compliance with PAS 2035/2030 standards across all domestic energy efficiency initiatives.

Oversee contractor performance, quality assurance, site inspections, and risk assessments for technical works.

Analyse technical data, energy performance certificates (EPCs), and retrofit assessments to provide clear reporting and guidance to senior stakeholders.

Collaborate with internal Council teams, external funding bodies, and residents to ensure smooth delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Your Experience:

Significant experience managing retrofit, energy efficiency, or building improvement programmes within a complex organisation (Local Authority or Housing Association experience desirable).

Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management (or equivalent PAS 2035 qualification).

Strong knowledge of building physics, fabric-first approaches, renewable technologies, and domestic heating systems.

Proven track record in managing contractors, project budgets, and technical compliance risks.

Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to evaluate complex technical data and present clear, actionable advice to senior managers.
