Finance Business Partner | Commercial Finance | Strategic Influence
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a leading organisation delivering complex, large-scale operational services across Scotland. This is a high-profile role supporting a portfolio of contracts worth approximately £50m, partnering directly with senior operational leaders to drive commercial performance, improve profitability, and influence strategic decision-making.
This position is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, challenging performance, and transforming financial and operational data into meaningful business insight.
Key Responsibilities

Partner with operational and contract leadership teams to provide commercial and financial support.

Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.

Deliver detailed financial analysis, performance reporting and scenario modelling.

Identify opportunities to improve profitability, reduce costs and enhance contract performance.

Support commercial activities including contract changes, extensions and negotiations.

Monitor financial and commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Work collaboratively with finance teams to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

Utilise technology, data analytics and reporting tools to support business decisions.

Present complex financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for a qualified finance professional with strong commercial awareness and exceptional stakeholder management skills.
You will ideally possess:

ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.

Strong finance business partnering experience within a complex PFI environment.

Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis.

Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to interpret both financial and operational performance drivers.

Experience operating within contract-led, outsourced services, infrastructure, facilities management, engineering or similar environments.

The ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders while building strong relationships.
