Cyber Security Consultant — Penetration Tester
Location: UK Based - Remote
£65,000 per annum plus benefits
Our client, one of the UK’s leading MSSP’S, are looking for a Cyber Security Consultant to join their team due to continued growth. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced cyber security and penetration testing specialists, supporting a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors.

As a Cyber Security Consultant, you’ll combine deep technical expertise with strong consultancy and client-facing skills. You’ll take ownership of penetration testing engagements, working independently on projects as well as collaborating with colleagues on larger assignments.
Core Responsibilities

Leading client-facing projects from initial engagement through to successful completion.

Delivering a range of penetration testing services, with the opportunity to develop and specialise in areas of particular interest.

Working as part of a team on larger and more complex engagements, taking ownership of your areas of responsibility.

Building trusted relationships with clients and acting as a key interface between the company and their teams.

Understanding client security requirements and supporting the scoping of new business opportunities.

Working closely with account managers and commercial teams to develop and shape client solutions.

Producing clear, accurate and high-quality technical reports and presentations.
What you’ll bring:

Strong experience delivering highly technical security testing independently and as part of a team.

4+ years’ experience working commercially in Cyber Security

A questioning mindset and the confidence to challenge assumptions and explore new approaches.

A creative, tenacious approach to solving complex technical problems.

Strong technical knowledge across areas such as operating systems, networks, cloud and web applications.

Excellent report-writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences.

Strong client-facing and relationship-management skills.

Experience working with commercial teams to understand and scope client requirements.

Experience managing and resolving issues with senior client stakeholders.

An understanding of relevant cyber security compliance and regulatory requirements.

The ability to work autonomously, manage your workload effectively and remain productive between assignments.

A degree in a business, IT or related discipline is desirable.
Certifications
- CREST CRT or CHECK Team Member certification would be useful, but isn’t essential.
