Specialist Cardiac Physiologist – Invasive Cardiology
Location: Central London
Salary: £52,000–£55,000 per annum
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Specialist Cardiac Physiologist to join a specialist invasive cardiology and electrophysiology service based in Central London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Cardiac Physiologist with strong experience in Cath Lab, electrophysiology and cardiac rhythm management. You will work closely with cardiologists, consultants, nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of patient care.
Key Responsibilities

Provide specialist cardiac physiology support within the Cath Lab and Electrophysiology service.

Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology procedures and ablations.

Support complex electrophysiology studies and 3D mapping.

Assist with cryoablation and AF/PVI procedures.

Support cardiac rhythm management procedures, including pacemaker, ICD and CRT implants and follow-up.

Undertake haemodynamic monitoring during invasive cardiology procedures.

Support procedures including PCI, FFR/IFR, IVUS, IVL, TAVI and right heart catheterisation.

Monitor ECG and patient condition throughout procedures and respond appropriately to changes.

Support emergency procedures, including temporary pacing, defibrillation and resuscitation where required.

Participate in the on-call Cath Lab rota and occasional weekend working.

Contribute to clinical audits, governance, quality improvement and service development.

Support the training and development of junior cardiac physiologists.
Requirements
-
BSc (Hons) in Clinical Cardiac Physiology, Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology), or equivalent.

Relevant post-qualification clinical experience.

Strong experience within invasive cardiology, electrophysiology and/or cardiac rhythm management.

Relevant EP and CRM certification.

Current Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification.

Previous Cath Lab experience.

Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team-working skills.

Strong clinical judgement and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Flexibility to participate in an on-call rota.
