Job Overview
My client are seeking a highly skilled and motivated F-Gas-qualified air-conditioning and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing a wide range of air conditioning and HVAC systems across various facilities. Your expertise in F-Gas regulations—pertaining to the handling of fluorinated greenhouse gases—will ensure compliance with environmental standards while delivering top-tier service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead maintenance operations, troubleshoot complex equipment, and contribute to energy-efficient building management.
Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on air conditioning and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.

Diagnose issues using schematics and technical manuals, then execute effective solutions swiftly.

Repair or replace equipment components such as compressors, fans, filters, and control systems to maintain system integrity.

Manage refrigerant handling in compliance with F-Gas regulations, including recovery, recharge, and leak detection procedures.

Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to facilitate precise troubleshooting.

Lead small teams or contractors during maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are upheld.
Requirements

Proven experience working with air conditioning systems and HVAC equipment in commercial or industrial settings.

F-Gas certification demonstrating knowledge of refrigerant handling regulations and environmental compliance.

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex schematics and technical drawings.

Hands-on experience with equipment repair, installation, and maintenance tasks within construction environments.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while guiding junior team members when necessary.
