CNC Machinist
Location: Corby
Salary: £30,000 ( + £80.00 monthly attendance bonus)
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Hours 8 am – 5 pm (Monday – Thursday), 8 am – 1 pm (Friday)
Our client is looking for a reliable and motivated experienced CNC Machinist to join their growing production team.
The Role
Working within our machine shop, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision components. The successful candidate will have experience working with HAAS CNC mills and lathes and a good understanding of machining practices within a manufacturing environment.
Candidates who can independently set up and prove out jobs will be at a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate HAAS CNC milling and turning machines safely and efficiently.

Manufacture components to engineering drawings and specifications.

Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance.

Inspect components to ensure quality standards are maintained.

Monitor production output and identify any quality or process issues.

Maintain a clean and organised working area.

Work closely with colleagues and the team leader to meet production targets.

Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.

Assist with machine set-ups and tooling changes where required.
The ideal candidate will have:

3 years' experience within a machine shop or CNC manufacturing environment.

Experience operating HAAS CNC mills and/or lathes.

Good understanding of machining tolerances and quality requirements.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Strong time management and organisational skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable Skills

Ability to set up and prove out jobs independently.

Experience selecting tooling and adjusting offsets.

Knowledge of editing CNC programs.

Experience working in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
