Fire & Security Service Engineer
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (Negotiable based on experience)
Type: Full-Time | Permanent
My client is a trusted name in fire and security solutions across South England. Known for their reliability, technical excellence, and customer-first approach, we provide maintenance and servicing for fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, automated gates, barriers, and more. Their long-standing relationships with commercial and residential clients are built on quality, care, and consistency.
My client are expanding their team and looking for a Fire & Security Service Engineer who’s passionate about safety, technology, and customer service. What You’ll Be Doing

Servicing and maintaining fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, gates, and barriers

Conducting routine inspections and ensuring compliance with industry standards

Diagnosing and repairing faults with efficiency and precision

Providing technical support to clients and colleagues

Maintaining accurate service records and documentation

Delivering exceptional customer service and building strong client relationships

Staying up to date with the latest technologies and standards

Participating in our emergency on-call rota

Occasionally travelling to support clients nationwide
What they are Looking For

Proven experience in fire and security systems
-
Strong knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, gates, and barriers

Electrical/electronic engineering qualifications

FIA or BAFE certification (preferred)

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
-
Full UK driving licence
-
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
-
Customer-focused mindset with a proactive attitude
Bonus Skills (Desirable but Not Essential)

Experience with GENT Fire systems
-
Fault-finding skills for gates and barriers
-
IPAF and ECS certifications

Security Clearance Requirements
Due to the nature of this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

British Nationals or Dual Nationals (with UK residency rights obtained before 31 December 2020)
-
Must have lived in the UK for at least 5 of the last 10 years to meet Security Check (SC) clearance requirements under BPSS, NSV, and BS7858 standards.
