Our client in Gateshead is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with strong programming experience, preferably a turner, to join their well-established precision engineering team.
About the Role:
Our client requires an experienced CNC Turner who can program, set up, and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-quality precision components. You will work from engineering drawings and ensure parts meet strict tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

Programming and operating CNC lathes (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, or similar)

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

Setting tools and making necessary adjustments during machining

Carrying out quality checks on finished components

Maintaining machinery and adhering to safety standards
Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience as a CNC Turner with programming skills

Strong knowledge of machining processes and technical drawings

Ability to work accurately and efficiently both independently and within a team

Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
