Role: Production Operative
Location: Portsmouth, PO3
Rate: £14.05
Shift: Rotating
The Operator role is to make, manufacture and deliver work upon business demand. Specific departments will include production of assembly, sub assembly and making materials.
Daily duties(not limited):
Following and interpreting technical drawings
Using adhesives, solvents, and chemicals safely
Operating welding machines, presses, and large machinery
Using milling and mixing machines
Inspecting materials to ensure fit for purpose
Completing route cards and maintaining 100% compliance
Using small handheld tools
About you:
Ability to work in confined spaces
High attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions accurately
Strong health & safety awareness and PPE compliance (safety shoes, overalls, safety glasses)
Commitment to following safety rules with no short cuts
Ability to work with strong‑smelling chemicals
Ability to undertake prolonged periods of sitting or standing
Desired experience, but not essential:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Aerospace or regulated‑industry experience (advantageous but not essential)
Shift: Rotating shift
Week 1. 6am to 2.45pm
Week 2. 2.30pm to 11.15pm
