About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy and successful finance team within a well-established automotive retail business in Cardiff.
This role will have a strong emphasis on the Purchase Ledger function and will suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
Matching invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
Managing supplier queries via telephone and email
Preparing payment runs in line with business deadlines
Maintaining accurate supplier account records
Assisting with month-end processes and ledger reconciliations
Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc accounting duties
Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and procedures
Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Profile
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
Experience in accounting or finance roles within a similar environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
A keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
