About the Role
Our client are looking for a skilled and reliable CNC / Saw Operative to join their growing solid surface manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery and panel saws to accurately cut, machine and prepare solid surface materials for fabrication and installation. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality and the ability to work efficiently as part of a busy production team
Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC routers and saw machinery safely and efficiently
Cut, machine and prepare solid surface materials to drawings, specifications and job requirements
Set up machinery, tooling and programmes for production runs
Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists and production information
Carry out quality checks to ensure components meet the required standards
Maintain accurate measurements and minimise material waste
Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance
Keep work areas clean, organised and compliant with health and safety requirements
Assist with general production and workshop duties when required
Skills and Experience
Previous experience operating CNC machinery, panel saws or similar production equipment
Experience working with solid surface materials is preferred, although training may be provided for the right candidate
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements
Good numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
Experience with CNC programming or CAD/CAM software would be an advantage
A practical, methodical and quality-focused approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong awareness of workplace health and safety
