Pay Rate: 💷 £12.71 per hour PAYE
Hours: 🕒 07:30 – 16:30, Monday to Friday
Overtime: Limited overtime available, paid at x1.5
We are currently recruiting for a Labourer to join an established engineering operation in Sunderland.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience working in an engineering, manufacturing or workshop environment. FLT Counterbalance experience is highly desirable.
The Role
As a Workshop Labourer, your duties will include:

General labouring and housekeeping duties within the engineering workshop

Assisting skilled engineers and workshop personnel with day-to-day tasks

Moving and handling materials around the workshop

Loading and unloading materials where required

Keeping work areas clean, tidy and organised

Following health and safety procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience in an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment

Experience carrying out general labouring or workshop duties

FLT Counterbalance experience/certification – desirable
-
A good attitude towards work and a willingness to learn

Good awareness of workplace health and safety
