We are looking for an Income and Allocations Assistant to provide essential administrative support to our Income & Allocations team. You will mainly have telephone contact with our customers; however, there will be some face-to-face contact within the office. You will also work closely with the Tenancies, Customer Ambassadors and Built Environment teams to ensure excellent customer service.
What you'll be doing

Assist Income Officers with monitoring Universal Credit verifications, former tenant and car parking rent accounts.

Assist the team and wider directorate with administrative duties which will include arranging customer homes visits, confirmation letters, arranging meetings, recording notes and outcomes, and updating Officers.

Give advice and support to customers and other social landlords regarding our mutual exchange cases.

Assist the team with enquiries regarding housing applications from our customers and Local Authorities.

Keeping our client record systems up to date.
What we are looking for

Excellent ICT / MS Office skills.

The ability to organise your own workload whilst juggling conflicting priorities and ensuring deadlines are met

The ability to work as part of a team and build effective working relationships with a variety of people

An understanding of confidentiality and the ability to deal sensitively with difficult situations.

Previous experience in customer service and liaising with customers by phone when required.
Please note the office expectancy of this role is as follows: This role will require you in full time initially for a period of training before moving to hybrid working where the office requirement is a minimum of 2 days a week or as per business need.

25 days annual leave per annum, plus bank holidays, 3 extra days between Christmas and New Year and 1 wellbeing day per annum.
