A thriving school in Slough is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support & Intervention Assistant to join their supportive team from September.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs and a strong desire to make a positive difference in their education and development. You will need to be confident, patient, calm and able to communicate effectively with young people.
As a SEN Support & Intervention Assistant, you will play an important role in helping pupils access their education, develop their confidence and make progress both academically and socially.
SEN Support & Intervention Assistant - Responsibilities
Supporting pupils with special educational needs to access learning and reach their potential
Providing targeted 1:1 support and intervention for pupils who require additional help
Supporting behaviour for learning and encouraging positive engagement in the classroom
Helping pupils understand and follow teacher instructions
Working with individuals and small groups within the SEN department
Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and educational development
Monitoring, recording and tracking pupil progress
Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to ensure pupils receive appropriate support
Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning behavioursThis SEN Support & Intervention Assistant role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience working with children with additional needs. Salary: £89-£95 per day
