Description
As the Customer Quality Engineer you will be tasked with the following -
· Act as the first point of quality contact for specific customer accounts
· Support the completion of 8D reports
· Support MRB reviews
· Chair weekly meetings in each business unit to review internal data for non-conforming product, customer line-returns, containment fallout and layered process audit non-conformances and champion data-driven improvements, across the business.
· Employ a range of statistical tools such as process capability, measurement systems analysis and statistical process control in order to highlight risk or identify areas for continuous improvement.
· Support the new product introduction function with the completion of PFMEA, control plan and other PPAP documents.
· Manage internal calibration registers.
· Participate in manufacturing process audits and system audits
· Work in accordance with and support the development of the business management system
Profile
A successful Customer Quality Engineer should have:
· Previous quality engineering experience preferred
· Degree educated or equivalent (preferably in an engineering-based discipline) preferred.
· Experience of quality core tools including PFMEA, Control plan, PPAP, SPC, MSA, 8D and process capability, required.
· Professional qualifications in the core tools including PFMEA, Control plan, PPAP, SPC, MSA, 8D and process capability, preferred.
· Internal auditor or lead auditor certification desirable
· Working knowledge of ISO9001 and IATF 16949 required
· Working knowledge of ISO14001 desirable
Job Offer
Salary between £40,000 and £50,000, dependent on the level of experience.
