A well‑established UK engineering company is seeking a Technical Sales Administrator to support its commercial and operational functions. This role suits a detail‑driven professional with strong organisational capability, technical awareness, and a disciplined approach to compliance, documentation control and cross‑department coordination.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, duties to include:

Manage incoming customer enquiries and provide accurate information on products, specifications and lead times.

Prepare and issue quotations, proposals and order confirmations in line with internal approval processes.

Maintain CRM records, customer accounts and sales documentation to an auditable standard.

Coordinate with internal technical, operational and supply‑chain teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly interpreted, validated and delivered.

Support the Sales Manager with pipeline tracking, reporting, forecasting and structured follow‑up activity.

Process purchase orders, monitor progress and provide customers with timely updates throughout the sales cycle.

Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, technical data and delivery schedules, ensuring all information is logged and traceable.

Assist with preparation of product literature, datasheets and tender documentation, ensuring version control and compliance with internal quality procedures.

Uphold organisational compliance requirements, including document control, data accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to relevant industry standards.

Provide general administrative support to the wider commercial and operations teams, ensuring consistent communication and coordination across departments.
As a successful candidate you will have strong administrative and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and compliance awareness, experience in a technical, manufacturing or operational environment could be beneficial.
Confident communicator able to coordinate effectively with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders with the ability to interpret technical information or specifications and relay them accurately.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems together with a proactive, customer‑focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and cross‑functional workflows.
