Something About the Position
The National Sales Manager oversees the sales activities of Regional Sales Managers by coaching, mentoring, training, and advising in all aspects of the sales functions of the organization. This position can be performed remote, with the expectation that the position will require regular travel across the United States.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to really drive many of the sales aspects of the organization.
The following are areas where we'd like to see you bring functional experience:
Manage sales activities throughout the U.S. by visiting and supporting our sales personnel, manufacturers representatives, and customers as necessary to secure new business and expand existing business.
Drive CRM utilization and accuracy to drive forecast requirements.
In collaboration with the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, manage the selection and ongoing development of sales personnel.
Monitor and hold sales personnel accountable for sales quotas and activity goals.
Coach and advise sales personnel concerning sales strategies, and presentation skills.
Assist the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer in formulation of sales plans with regard to target markets.
As necessary, represents Scheuch at trade shows to promote the Company and its products.
Acts as a liaison between the departments of the organization engaging them as appropriate to provide our customers with exemplary sales and service.
Exercise control over expenditures of the sales personnel to comply with budgetary requirements.
Prepare monthly analysis and progress reports by individual sales employees for submission to the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer and ensure maintenance of CRM by sales personnel for opportunity tracking purposes.
Keep abreast of competitor activities in the U.S.
Assists in providing ongoing training to all sales personnel.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five years related sales management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous sales management experience in an industrial or engineering environment is preferred.
Previous sales management experience with CRM applications with MS Dynamic a plus.
This position is expected to have a commitment to helping Scheuch meet its growth and profit goals in the U.S.
Demonstrated attention to detail, planning, problem analysis, problem-solving skills, and organization, facilitation, communication and presentation skills;
Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material and ability to handle multiple, competing and changing priorities; ability to perform effectively without supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines;
Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally, and provide exceptional service, both internally and externally at all times.
Must have highly proficient computer skills, problem-solving abilities when considering computer use, adaptability in learning software, display full comprehension of fundamental computer practices and database management.
