Part time, Per Diem shifts available
Full time role is for 2nd & 3rd shifts primarily, and weekends
Shift differential for 2nd & 3rd shifts per hour
Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct patient care to individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will assist physicians in developing treatment plans, perform patient assessments, monitor a patient's progress and administer medications and pain management services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The LPN position duties and responsibilities listed below describe the general nature and scope of work. Other responsibilities, duties and skills may be required and assigned, as needed.
Assists in the identification of medical, emotional, and social needs of the client throughout the treatment process.
Assesses medical and psychological problems reporting significant findings to the physician and/or appropriate counselor.
Completes an initial medical and nutritional assessment, and a chemical dependency and suicide history.
Assists in the supervision of monitored self-medication program.
Provides regularly scheduled medical lectures to clients.
Administers TB tests to clients and staff in accordance with PA Department of Health.
Offers educational material on STD’s, TB, and HIV.
Adheres to Patient Rights as outlined in licensure manual.
Maintains inventory of medical and pharmaceutical supplies.
Participates in ongoing trainings and seminars and attends all in-service trainings as scheduled.
Completes nutritional screenings making dietary modifications where needed.
Requests initial urine and blood tests and file reports.
Reviews and organizes all medical files.
Coordinates outside medical appointments.
Obtains written and telephone orders and documents appropriately.
Effectively use Enterprise Manager (EM) as needed to carry out duties of the position.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
PA licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse. Prior experience a substance use disorder setting or detoxification unit preferred.
Technical Skills
To perform this job successfully, the employee should have strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook). Must have the ability to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks. Must be proficient in the use of specific medical instruments relevant to perform the functions of the position.

To perform this job successfully, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position. This position qualifies for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Bonus will be paid First pay date - $1,000, 60 Days - $1,000, 90 Days - $1,000 and at 1 Year - $2,000
from date of hire for employees with positive evaluation.
