As a part time, CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacy Technician at Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy.
Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 20-24 hour per week. Monday- Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm (specific days and hours TBD), and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00a-12:00pm as needed.
About the Facility: The Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health is a Joint Commission-accredited facility. The hospital provides acute and residential behavioral and mental health services for adolescents. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. This centralized inpatient pharmacy will use CPOE and eMAR along with RX_HCS Clinical and Omnicell automated dispensing systems.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Virginia Pharmacy Technician License Required
Recent work experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting preferred
Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
Effective communications skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements (may be required):
(PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
(MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
Hep B3 Series (or declination)
(Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
