To be a successful FFT Therapist you must become able to do the following always:
Utilize trauma informed practices to create a safe and supportive environment for those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery.
Complete training and provide Functional Family Therapy.
Work with the entire family to facilitate positive change by providing in-home and telehealth therapy addressing the family’s identified goals.
Coordinate client care with community partners.
Complete client documentation including intake assessments, treatment plans, and client progress notes per policy standards, and FFT LLC documentation within their standards.
Provide court reports/testimony when necessary.
Participation in team meetings, supervision, company-wide and staff meetings.
Follow EmberHope’s Policy and Procedure and operate according to the EmberHope’s Program Practice Guidelines.
Achieve positive client outcomes including successfully maintaining the client in the home.
How you will spend your time in this job:
50% Clinical Practice
45% Administrative
5% FFT training
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or Mental Health Counseling.
Licensed to practice with supervision or independently in the State of Kansas.
Competency in using a personal computer required. Must document information in an electronic medical record.
Ability to travel, driving agency or personal vehicle including at night. Ability to enter client homes without assistance.
Ability to do occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Able to walk upstairs. Ability to work flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
