We are currently recruiting an administrator to work in this well established warehouse operations team. You will work in a bright modern office alongside a friendly and experienced team. Full training will be given for this interesting and varied operational administration role. This warehouse administration role will start on a temporary contract with a view to go permanent for the right candidate.
You will work for a market leading company based just on the outskirts of Harrogate. The reason for this Administrator vacancy is the current post holder is relocating out of the area. This role is predominantly office based administration tasks supporting the operational warehouse processes, however you will also be expected to liaise with internal departments across the business which will mean you will be up and about talking to people in different teams. You will also assist with various manual warehouse operations in peak times, such as end of month dispatch, therefore you will need to be physically fit and able to be on your feet for some of the day.
Main Administrator Duties Include:
Managing the operational warehouse processes
Ensuring all engineers vans are fully stocked with tools and equipment required to do thier
Daily and weekly stock and inventory management
Planning deliveries and liaising with external couriers, ensuring deliveries arrive on time
Planning weekly schedules to ensure all stock movements are planned accordingly
Managing all the general and recyclable waste ensuring collections are made on time
Tool maintenance -responsible for repairs, ordering new supplies, calibrations and testing of all tools and equipment
Preparation of fleet stock - ensuring all new vehicles are equipped with a full set of tools and equipment
Sales stock - ensuring there is enough sample units of all products for sales managers
Maintaining stock records and updating when new lines are added
Quarterly stock takes to ensure there are no discrepancies
Assisting the warehouse team with any extra dispatch requirements
You may also be given forklift truck driver training for any adhoc assistance required in the warehouseAdministrator Requirements:
Previous experience in an administration role is essential
Experience working in a warehouse environment would be beneficial but not essential
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Intermediate level excel skills
Friendly and approachable personality
