Design Consultant / Project Manager (Luxury Countertops - Quartz, Marble, and Granite)

The Design Consultant / Project Manager position is based at the Austin showroom reporting to the VP of Custom Sales. The individual will be responsible for growing and maintaining sales and relationships within the design community, high-end builders, residential and commercial clientele. The position requires a highly motivated individual with an interest in the construction and interior design industry with the ability to sell to and manage projects and the expectations of clientele.
Allied Gallery is the Custom Division of The Allied Group, based in Austin, TX. We offer luxury natural stone, quartz, and porcelain options along with state-of-the-art installation and fabrication. We help our clientele build the spaces of their dreams.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Proactively and consistently engages with new, existing, and potential clients to establish an effective front-line sales relationship.
Grow and maintain sales of high-end stone sales for Austin South Region. Develop client list to meet and exceed established revenue plans.
Prospect for new clientele on a continuous basis.
Create and sustain close relationships with builders, the A&D community and high-end retail clientele.
Generate sales in accordance with the established pricing lists in order to achieve the expected gross margin on orders.
Manage projects by completing initial client selection meetings, both in the studio and on the job site.
Generate initial quotes in our software system in a timely manner.
Liaise with our internal Custom Support Team to ensure project installation is on time and meets the client’s requirements.
Work closely with Support Teams to ensure projects are progressing as expected through the manufacturing and installation schedule.
Communicate all pertinent project information to clients in a professional manner.
Provide sales forecasts to the Management, as requested.
Manage travel and entertainment expenses within the established budget.
Qualifications
1 year’s minimum successful sales experience, selling to the construction or interior design community is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in interior design, project management or related field is preferred.
Knowledge of natural stone, building products industry and markets.
Professional demeanor and appearance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Possess sufficient computer acumen to learn internal software systems.
Excellent interpersonal & customer service skills, highly motivated, *team player*
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Travel to design firms and client locations.
Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation.
Bilingual is a plus (Spanish)
