The Village at Penn State, located in State College, PA, is one of the area’s premiere senior living communities and has an exciting opportunity for a *Full Time and Part Time LPN Charge Nurse *positions.
*Schedule Details*
* Full Time
* Part Time
* 6:30pm - 7:00am
* 12 hour shifts
* Only 3 days each week
* Works every other weekend
*Job Responsibilities:*
* Assist with the day-to-day functions of household staff or other nursing personnel in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that apply to the Atrium, of the Village Community.
* Ensure all assigned nursing personnel, including household staff, comply with the written policies and procedures established by the Department of Health & the organization.
* Evaluate/assess residents daily, to identify changes in condition, including suspected abuse.
* Complete physician/family notification and ensure documentation is done, for any/ all changes in residents.
* Ensure / assist with medication administration and responsibilities included with this process, including accurate documentation, following physician orders, etc., daily.
* Complete tasks related to resident admission/discharge procedures.
* Responsible for reviewing incidents for the appropriate shift of occurrence and ensure follow-up visits, when deemed necessary. Complete appropriate shift documentation and visual assessments that are required for night shifts.
* Ensure adequate supplies are available for staff at the beginning & during the shift.
* Ensure complaints/ grievances are followed through accordingly, with appropriate forms.
*Requirements*
* Must possess, at a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate from an approved LPN/LVN program.
* Current CPR certification.
* Three (3) years’ experience in geriatric nursing and supervisor experience preferred.
* Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a LPN/LVN in the state of PA.
