We are looking for motivated Catering Assistants to join our friendly team at Tameside Hospital, Hartshead Restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, supporting our patients, staff, and visitors while developing your skills in food service and hospitality.
What you’ll be responsible for:

Serve hot meals, snacks, and beverages to customers

Prepare and stock the restaurant for service

Operate cash registers and maintain portion control

Clear tables and clean service and dining areas

Wash crockery, cutlery, and equipment
-
Stock and maintain vending machines
-
Support patient tray meal service

Follow food hygiene and safety procedures
You’ll have the following skills/experience:

Food Safety Level 2 and Allergen Awareness training (required before offer)

Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety, or willingness to learn

Good communication and customer service skills

Basic numeracy skills
-
Ability to use cleaning and food prep equipment
