Children's Social Worker – Adolescent Support Team
We Do Social Work are recruiting on behalf of a South East Local Authority for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join a dedicated Adolescent Support Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with vulnerable young people aged 11–18, providing high-quality interventions to safeguard children, prevent family breakdown, reduce homelessness, and support young people to remain safely within their family networks wherever possible.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of children in need, child protection, and complex adolescent cases.
Complete assessments, planning and direct interventions using strengths-based and solution-focused approaches.
Support 16–17-year-olds at risk of homelessness through early intervention and joint working with housing services.
Chair Child in Need meetings and coordinate multi-agency plans.
Work closely with partners including CAMHS, Education, Police, Youth Justice and Housing.
Deliver high-quality safeguarding interventions that improve outcomes for children and families.
About You
Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered).
Experience within Children's Services, safeguarding, child protection or adolescent services.
Confident managing complex caseloads and working within a multi-agency environment.
Passionate about achieving positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
