Job Title: Accounts Assistant / Administrator
Location: TN1
Salary: £30,000–£32,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Working Pattern: Office-based
Role Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant / Administrator to join their team on a full-time basis at their office in the TN1 area.
This is a varied role suited to someone with strong all-round experience in accounts and administration. The successful candidate will be organised, accurate and confident handling day-to-day finance and office support duties. Knowledge of QuickBooks would be an advantage, although it is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
Duties will include:

Processing purchase and sales invoices

Matching, checking and coding invoices
-
Assisting with supplier and customer account queries

Reconciling statements and accounts

Supporting credit control and chasing outstanding payments where required

Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records

Assisting with payment runs and banking duties

Inputting data accurately onto accounting systems

Supporting month-end processes where required

General office administration and filing
-
Answering calls and emails in a professional manner

Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal teams

Providing wider administrative support to the business as needed
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Administrator, or similar role

Good all-round accounts and administration experience

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Good organisational and time management skills

Confident communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A proactive and flexible approach to work

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office

QuickBooks knowledge would be desirable but is not essential
Experience
Candidates should be comfortable working in a varied office-based role and able to manage a mix of finance and administrative duties. Previous experience using accounting software would be beneficial.
Working Hours
This is a full-time, office-based role, working Monday to Friday.
