ODIN Recruitment are looking for a hardworking and reliable Construction Labourer to join our clients team. The successful candidate will assist experienced Groundworkers with a variety of construction and groundwork activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced Groundworkers with all aspects of groundwork and civil engineering projects.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing, setting out, and organising materials and equipment.
- Assist with block paving, paving, concrete works, formwork (shuttering), and ducting installations.
- Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment around site.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Assist with mixing and pouring concrete and preparing excavation areas.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
- Follow instructions from Site Managers, Project Managers, and Groundworkers.
- Comply with all company policies, site rules, and health and safety legislation.
- Report any hazards, accidents, or damaged equipment immediately.
- Carry out general labouring duties as required to support the successful completion of projects.
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous construction or labouring experience.
- Willingness to learn and assist experienced Groundworkers.
- Good work ethic with a positive and reliable attitude.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual work.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Valid CSCS Card.
Working Hours
- Full-time.
- Working nationwide.
- Staying away from home will be required for 3–4 nights per week.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on project demands.
