We are recruiting for a production operative to join a specialist manufacturing business in Leeds.
Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for preparing finished products for dispatch. This is a hands-on role involving the weighing, filling, packing and labelling of products, as well as operating equipment and ensuring everything is prepared correctly for customers.
This would suit someone who enjoys practical, physical work and is comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Weighing finished products accurately
Filling and sealing bags ready for dispatch
Operating bagging and packaging equipment
Labelling products correctly
Checking products and packaging for quality and accuracy
Preparing finished products for storage and delivery
Palletising and moving packaged products
Recording production and packaging information
Keeping the work area clean and organised
Following all health and safety procedures
Supporting the wider production team when required
Skills:
Previous production, manufacturing, bagging or packing experience is advantageous
Comfortable carrying out physical and repetitive work
Good attention to detail
Reliable and hardworking
Able to follow instructions and production procedures
Good health and safety awareness
Comfortable working as part of a team
Flexible approach to working hours when required
