The Role

As a Production Operator, you will play a key role in the assembly and manufacture of specialist electrical and optical cable assemblies, ensuring all products are built to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Build and assemble specialist electrical and optical cable assemblies and wiring looms.
Carry out soldering, crimping, stripping, and cable termination to a high standard.
Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and customer specifications.
Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet exact specifications.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and product quality.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Experience producing electrical or optical cable harnesses.
Confidence using hand tools and working on precision assemblies.
The ability to read and work from technical and customer drawings.
Experience with soldering, crimping terminals, optical terminations, and wire harness assembly.
The ability to follow detailed work instructions and production processes.
Experience working to IPC standards would be advantageous, although full training can be provided.
Experience using a variety of production equipment and tooling.
A proactive approach to maintaining tools and keeping an organised workspace.
A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on quality and efficiency.
