ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
The role currently involves day shifts from 7:00am to 4:00pm, with flexibility to work night shifts from 10:45pm to 6:45am as required. Applicants must be comfortable and willing working both day and night shifts.
To provide high-quality cleaning services across various sites, covering staff absences, holidays, sickness, and additional cleaning requirements. The Relief Cleaning Operative is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and hygienic environments while ensuring company standards and client expectations are met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out general cleaning duties including: - Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.

Dusting and wiping surfaces.

Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.

Cleaning toilets, washrooms, and replenishing consumables.

Cleaning kitchens, staff areas, and communal spaces.

Sanitising touchpoints and high-traffic areas.
Clean 5 bedrooms and en suite bathrooms.
Follow cleaning schedules and work instructions.
Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH regulations.
Report maintenance issues, accidents, damages, or health and safety concerns to management.
Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards.
Lock and secure premises where required.
Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and report shortages.
Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally. Health & Safety

Wear appropriate PPE when required.
Ensure safe storage and handling of cleaning chemicals.
Report incidents, hazards, and near misses promptly. Skills and Experience
Essential
Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, office, retail, healthcare, or educational environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good attention to detail.
Reliable, flexible, and punctual.
Good communication skills.
Ability to travel between sites. Desirable
Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
Experience using commercial cleaning equipment. Personal Attributes

Flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
