HR Assistant
Location: Whetstone
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 (pro rata)
Hours: 37.5–40 hours per week (part-time considered)
Contract: Temporary (Ongoing)
Key Responsibilities

Supported the HR Director with daily HR operations, administration, and ongoing HR projects.

Provided HR guidance to managers and employees, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices.

Assisted with recruitment, onboarding, employment contracts, offer letters, inductions, and maintaining job descriptions.

Supported employee relations by preparing documentation, attending disciplinary and grievance meetings, taking confidential notes, and assisting with absence and performance management.

Helped develop, review, and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring employee handbooks remained up to date and legally compliant.

Coordinated training activities, monitored mandatory training compliance, and supported employee development and wellbeing initiatives.

Maintained accurate HR records while handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Skills & Experience

CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent HR experience).

Experience in HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.

Strong understanding of UK employment law, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage confidential information.
Desirable
- Experience with Workday HR systems, recruitment agencies, international HR practices, and manufacturing, engineering, or corporate environments
