TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming SEND school in the BA12 area of Somerset. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally, with learning tailored to meet individual needs.
The school is looking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) from September on a temporary basis. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to help pupils access learning, build confidence and develop independence, while providing both classroom and one-to-one support where required.
The successful Learning Support Assistant (LSA) will have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable
A caring, patient and positive approach to supporting pupils
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
