School Administrator
Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for an experienced and organised School Administrator to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School in the Nelson area.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, starting in September 2026. The role is ongoing and offers the opportunity to become a valued member of the school's administrative team.

Rate of Pay: £12.71 - £15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
About the Role:

Provide efficient administrative support to the school office, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of administrative functions.

Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies, providing a professional and welcoming service.

Manage pupil records, attendance and admissions using school management systems.

Maintain accurate records and handle confidential information in line with GDPR requirements.

Support the Senior Leadership Team with general administration, correspondence and document preparation.

Answer telephone and email enquiries promptly and professionally.

Assist with maintaining safeguarding and personnel records where required.

Carry out general office duties including filing, photocopying, data entry and ordering supplies.
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have previous experience working in a busy school office or similar educational setting.

Have essential experience using Arbor, SIMS and Class Charts.

Be confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Have excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.

Be professional, approachable and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Have a good understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and GDPR within a school environment.

Be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.

Provide details of two recent references covering the last five years of employment.

Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one as part of the registration process.

Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy all compliance checks.
